This place doesn’t know what a T - Bone is!! They cut the T Bone! took the fillet OFF!! Total disappointment!! Bait and switch!! And the pork chops were all gristle. Butcher doesn’t know what a T- Bone is!! Making money on the T-bones he sellers by cutting the filler off and selling it to someone else!!

I purchased 3 Ribeye Steaks. They were perfectly marbled and turned out tender and delicious.

This little shop is excellent. Great prices, fresh clean meat. They will cut to your specifications. The people are kind and efficient. Love this place.

We stopped in while camping and got Ground beef and was very disappointed, took it to the camper to cook it but the inside of the meat was brown and smelled rotten when I cooked it. Spent $30 ,money wasted.

Meh. Stopped in from out of town to get some fresh Filet Mignon to prepare for a family meal, along with some lean ground beef for grilling. The burgers were good, and the prices were great. Almost too good and I now know why. The Filets were not good at all. Very fatty cuts, and definitely not what I have come to expect when patronizing a local butcher over a chain store. Probably would not return here as a result.

After reading other reviews and talking with my family about their experiences at Rickman's I expected to have a very positive experience. I can't claim it was awful but it's not 5 stars. And I really wanted it to be. The women at the front is extremely easily overwhelmed making her speak sharply to customers. Then she suddenly becomes friendly again. I find that uncertainty very unpleasant. Be hateful or be nice but just pick one already. People can wait, it's ok. I suggest putting some chairs and a TV in that large foyer and a ticket system so no one is nervous of being skipped. Then they will not hover at the counter which would make me nervous too. Her blood pressure has got to be high. Small changes could help this lady live longer. I got a 1/2 beef, and some bacon and pork chops. The pork chops are beautiful. The bacon is fine, saltier than I like. We're having t-bones tonight and my hopes are high. The ground beef to me is quite disappointing. It has way more fat in it than I prefer. I made burgers yesterday. I wanted so much to be pleased but I just wasn't. I'm hoping as I go through the packs there will be less fat in some.

Terrible service...her name is Linda...I purchased 2 pigs then called and scheduled a appointment; we agreed on a price, I called 2 weeks before my date to verify and the lady told me she had to DOUBLE her price and could not smoke or cure anything...TERRIBLE service. I understand someone has to raise their price but a business still should honor their word and prior commitment.

Ms. Linda here will take great care of you. We have a couple of cows butchered every year, and I buy bacon and sausage every 4-6weeks for my family and several friends. Always the freshest meat! We no longer buy box store meat to avoid harmful harmones and dyes.

Decently priced , would have given 5 Stars if they were able to make bacon 😔 …

Stopped by the trailer at the Hernando farmers market at 0950 to buy some filets. Gentleman working was chatting with someone and without glancing in my direction stated they were packed up already. Strange, but I thanked him and went on my way. Finished shopping the rest of the venders and passed the trailer again at 1010. While passing I notice a couple making a purchase from that same gentleman, with another couple waiting behind them to do the same. I’ve never been turned down from a business in my life, let alone from a vender here at the farmers market.

Owner seems nice but not educated on cuts of meat. I asked for a packer cut beef brisket and they had the point cut off. I had to explain what I wanted and they still failed.

Would recommend everyone to get your beef or pork here. Fresh cut.

We raise meat goats and hogs just over the border in Tennessee! HMU if your in need of either. We can deliver them to the butcher for a small fee. Fresh goats milk every DAY!!

Rickman's is the only place to get the best fresh cut Ribeye Steaks in town. They were so tender and delicious. Great price also.
