Cypress Creek Farms LLC appears to be involved in the farming of alligators for their skin, targeting the exotic animal leather market. The reviews indicate significant environmental concerns related to the farm's operations, suggesting it may not be primarily focused on selling traditional livestock products like beef. The nature of the business seems to be more aligned with exotic animal farming rather than conventional agriculture.
I really wish someone would shut this place down it makes the ENTIRE 50 mile radius smell of sewage, death, and toxic fumes literally pollute the air from the HIGH levels of methane building up. If someone lit a fire inside the place or even near it, it would explode into a giant ball of flames and poor alligators farmed for their skin for “exotic animal leather” market. Really hope someone takes a drone over it one day and drops a road flare into the methane cloud so it’ll end it already. It’s been an environmental hazard for over 15-20 years now. Getting worse and worse and worse. I wish nothing but bad omens for the owners and workers who participate in this toxic addition to the outskirts of starke, as it’s made most of the mile stretch of SR 100 wreak of DEATH AND ROTTING SICK. I’m not exaggerating in the slightest either. I’m hoping to get this place shut down if I report it to the right place. I’m making petitions, and I’m contacting the EPA.
People who owned it before were just as bad and now it’s somehow even smelling worse in the entire vicinity. Imagine a toxic waste runoff mixed with a burning zoo & that’s what the entire area of sr 100 smells like. Why anyone would farm alligators is beyond me: just wish this place would shut down. Saw a petition to do just that but doubt it’ll change anything. Every home owner in the area has to deal with it and has for too long. Killed property value entirely
