We were so happy to have found Cylon Rolling Acres when we moved to Minnesota. The goat meat we purchase from Leslie is the very best quality and affordable. Our research tells us goat meat is hands down the healthiest meat choice, period. Leslie has made it so easy to order and although we usually have our order shipped, she has also welcomed us for in person pickup since we live within a comfortable travel distance. If we have questions or need help, Leslie is very prompt and attentive with responses. The photo attached is Afghan Kaddo Bourani made with ground goat, pumpkin, and yogurt. We have made Bolognese, kofta kabobs, sloppy joes, grilled chops, roast leg with peaches and apples, burgers, curried stew, leg, shoulder, neck in the crock pot, all so good! This business has earned an A++++++ Attaching photo of goat bolognese pizza. More photos of recipe sent to us from Leslie at Cylon Rolling Acres-so wonderful!!
We have been subscribed to Leslie's goat meat delivery for years. We could not be happier. The service is convenient. The meat arrives quarterly in temperature controlled and ecological packaging. The meat itself is so clean. Goat is delicately flavored, low fat, highly nutritious and also DELICIOUS! We make all sorts of recipes with it...from curry to oven roasts. We also really enjoy driving out to see Leslie and pick up our purchases in person. Leslie is a kind, smart, and ethical business person.
Leslie at Cylon Rolling Acres has a wealth of knowledge about raising meat goats and marketing and she shares it all in her Goat Meat Marketing Academy online course. I took this class and learned lots of tips to consider when growing our meat goat herd. I also picked up lots of farm marketing tips. This course is especially helpful for people wanting to expand selling goat meat directly to consumers. I highly recommend this course.
Wow! This goat meat was exceptional. I was a little hesitant to order with a $50 shipping fee, but I decided to take a chance. I made Birria with goat shanks and shoulder and it was probably the best meal I've ever had. The meat was mild but flavorful and very tender. Thank you from Washington State.
Joined her Raising Goats using Rotational Grazing and honestly, it was just a waste of money. I thought it was going to teach me new information on how to get started, it didn't, just told me all the stuff I already knew, just from some simple google searches and cross-referencing, and reading books. Doing my research. Also, she put that you should deworm your goats on a schedule when you absolutely shouldn't - that's how you literally create chemical resistance and just kill your goats. Do not tell people to not look into show, or registered breeding, those are the goats that are bred to standard and better each breed. You went over the bare basics, the bare basics everyone can just google or read in a book; brush and trees are not considered shelter, would you sit under a tree while it's pouring? you wouldn't. No raising goats on pasture will not make them grow more slowly, if you're having trouble with animals growing slowly, it's the breed or parasites. And absolutely do not go to a vet that has no goat knowledge; they will kill your animals, they don't know what they're doing, how much to give the animal nor what medications work well within the goat, goats are not a researched animal and they're still being researched. I do suggest redoing your course with updated information.
