If you are looking for quality meats, hometown charm, and one-stop convenience... this is your place! This local butcher shop doubles as a general store with a lunch deli and somehow nails all three! The general store section is always well stocked with local goods, spice rubs, soups, sauces, delicious meats, and incredible items for the air/deep fryer! Mac N Cheese Bits, Mozzarella Sticks, Onion Rings, you name it! Any of them perfect for pairing with whatever your main dish of choice is! I haven't used the Butcher Shop but know others who have, and you won't find a more knowledgeable staff to help choose the right cuts! Don't skip the lunch specials at the deli! The Staff is courteous and genuine! Curly's Custom Meats provides you with a familiar community feel and reminds you how great local shopping can be! Highly recommend!

Their meat is always fresh and local. They always do custom package sizes. Sausage and bacon are always good as is the smoked ham! The only thing I would change is the casings they use on sausage and brats. They seem to be a collagen casing that cannot stand any kind of boiling. Work on the grill very well. One star off on that. Always good meat, process time is good, doesn’t seem to matter if it’s your animal or if you buy from them. Just remember time will vary if you bring it in, or they have to buy it in. Also their Waygu/Angus is spoiler for any other beef.

I don't know where to start. Processing meat, I just picked up a half of beef, nice area for an easy pick up right out front. They have a Deli, with all kinds of selections of meat products, beer, shirts, candy, rubs, BBQ sauces and a light selection of grocery items. They also have propane tanks too. This is a new store they built a year ago that serves as their new Butcher house on the westside of town. Friendly staff, can't wait to go back.

Had meat processed here.. made hour trip to pick up my order on Saturday. Never told they dont do pick up orders on Saturday. People have to work. It needs to be told there is NO PICK UP orders on Saturdays. Guy at front counter thought it was funny. I am gonna have my meat processed another place.

Not at all happy with the beef, porterhouse. The loin was fatty, the rest was tough. The stuffed chicken breast was excellent and oversized.

I wouldn't necessarily call this place a butcher shop and I don't know what's custom about it because everything is prepackaged and vacume sealed and the square hamburger patties are a bit weird but it's a clean place the staff are friendly and their prices are reasonable we did enjoy their wide variety of flavored brats their mac & cheese ones were delicious

Very nice shop! Had lots of fresh items to choose from and good pricing! I loved the dog section too. Very affordable and look forward to going back and buying more things. Highly recommend

First experience,im overjoyed with every thing i see the packaging is very well done and is marked with the date its packaged.The butchering is top notch much better than other places I've had beef processed. Had 1/2 of steer processed and its amazing work on evey single cut. Thank you for the spectacular work you do.

The new facility is beautiful! Nice selection of meats and other varied items. Not a grocery store but a nice variety of things to choose from, including Pie Shell pies! We will be back!

I came to stock up, first visit, ended up with a huge cooler of meat for only a little over $300, lots of choices and products, the website isn't all that they have, it's worth a visit for sure

I buy your products at Mad River Farm Market north of Urbana. Love the breakfast patties and brats. Whenever I am in town for work I buy your products and take them back to Michigan.

We had your barbecue ribs for the first time that I purchased from Kroger Derr Rd Springfield yesterday. Those were hands down the very best ribs we have ever eaten period. Unfortunately, I got the last two packages and there were no leftovers. Please keep making them, I gave 5 stars because that's as much I could give. Deserves 100+

Had original brats and they were perfectly fine. Bought them from Yutzys farm market. Would buy again. Support small business when you can.

Worst customer service. Very impolite and assume all customers, even new, are experts on all cuts. Impatient and rude. Heard multiple rumors that they swap out good meat for inferior cuts to new or unknown customers

Customer service by front desk personnel is lacking. Freezer cases and front area appeared well stocked & clean.
