We came for a school field trip and it was so much fun! The staff is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable! The class on snakes and cow milking was super fun for the kids! The tractor ride was also really fun and getting to watch them feed the bison. I would highly recommend coming for a field trip or even just with the family. Great photo spots everywhere!
Been here 3 times now the first time was with my kid's field trip and the last 2 times were just on our own. The prices are nice for the amount of animals you can see and feed. Farmer Preston has been there the 2 times I've gone and he's always nice and ready to answer any questions you or your kids have on the farm animals. The goats and pigs are our favorite as well as the raptor birds. Definitely check it out and definitely drop some 5s or more in their donation bucket, it does help the staff and the animals.
My daughters and I went on a field trip to Crowe's Nest Farm in October. The staff were friendly, well-organized, knowledgeable, and patient. The kids ate their lunch at an outdoor enclosed pavilion, then hung around the grounds a bit until they went into the main building for an informative session about the farm, animals, etc. Next was the reptile room where the kids enjoyed looking at the different reptiles and a staff member gave some fun facts. The cow-milking process was interesting and engaging for the kiddos, and the tractor ride was a lot of fun for everyone to see the longhorns. When we returned, everyone had free reign to explore the rest of the farm with the different animals, habitats, and gardens, which was great! Overall no complaints, intimate and educational setting, cute gift shop, staff who loved their jobs, and great interactive activities; the kids loved it!
We visited Crowe’s Nest Farm in Manor for a Pre-K field trip, and while the experience had some highlights, there were aspects that were deeply disappointing. The admission price was $18 for one child and one adult, which we were happy to pay for an educational and memorable experience. The trip started off well, the farm was beautiful, and the children were excited to explore. However, things took a turn when we were escorted into a classroom to watch a video and learn about reptiles. Unfortunately, the staff member leading that portion of the visit was extremely rude and, at times, unkind. She snapped at my child’s teacher for accidentally skipping a row of seats and made multiple harsh and sassy remarks anytime the preschoolers expressed excitement or became slightly noisy. Her tone and demeanor were completely inappropriate for an audience of preschoolers, and it was upsetting to witness such behavior toward young children during what should have been a joyful learning experience. On a more positive note, Farmer Chris was an absolute gem. He was warm, gentle, and engaging, his calm and respectful approach captured the children’s attention beautifully. His interaction with the group was a reminder of how powerful kindness and patience can be when working with young learners. While there were some valuable moments, the experience was overshadowed by the classroom leader’s conduct. For a paid field trip, I expected better treatment and a more supportive learning environment for our little ones
Went on a field trip to Crowes Nest Farm with our students who all have disabilities and we had a great time.
Perfect size farm to visit with young kids. We stayed for about 2 hours but there were a couple things we didn’t do. You can buy some pellets to feed the goats and you can also pay for a kids horse ride. There was also a small pumpkin patch at the entrance. The kids went on a barrel ride and we all went on a hay ride. So many different animals and lots of space for them to roam. The employees were very informative and cheerful. Would love to come back again some time.
Staff were great with the kids. Kinda small but really fun for kids. Really enjoyed watching the cow being milked
Must visit. Kids loved the place, the animals, hayride and milking the cow.
We loved our visit to the farm. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We loved seen all the different farm animals and the beautiful birds. My daughter’s favorite part was the turtles 🐢 …
