The kids and I went on the most magical adventure today — we found a hidden garden paradise on Wellesley Island! 🌸✨ We were warmly greeted by the kindhearted owner, Dani, who hopped us into her golf cart and took us on a tour of her private island gardens. We tasted “honey berries”—they look kind of like little beans, but they’re so sweet and rich with flavor! I’ve never seen anything like it! Walking through the archways and tunnels, with food and flowers growing all around us, honestly felt like we had stumbled into a fairytale. 📚✨ In fact, her garden is even featured in a book — it’s that magical! If you’re in the Thousand Islands, make sure you stop by Cross Island Farms. Dani is the most wonderful hostess, and it’s a perfect spot for kids, flower lovers, or anyone looking for a bit of magic in nature! 🌻❤️

Absolutely gorgeous!! Dani was incredibly kind and welcoming; we got to pick some raspberries, mulberries, and currants. Such a beautiful garden. They sell things from grass-fed beef, to fresh picked berries, and even Dani's book on starting a home-scale garden! I couldn't recommend coming here more.

Wow! What an amazing experience. Danni was so kind and knowledgeable. We were able to pick quite a variety of things, but every week new things are in season. We will absolutely be returning 🥰 …

Little gem of farming done right! Lovely people, full of straightforward knowledge across the broad spectrum of organic and permaculture farming. Worth a stop at their roadside stand, a day in the permaculture garden, a special event or even rustic camping! Call ahead for information. Best for adults but children were welcome. They also have a solar array and wind turbine.

My wife and I stopped by Cross Island on a whim. Lovely farm, organic produce and Dani was fantastic. Picked up Asian pears, potatoes, garlic, squash and her book. Prices were good, you're buying organic, local, sustainable and fresh. Worth the trip.

When we stopped in, there were 4-5 staff there. The woman at the farm stand on the porch was on the phone, but interrupted her conversation to talk to us and was very pushy about us buying their products. The stand was quite expensive with $10/dozen eggs and similarly expensive vegetables. I wouldn't recommend it based on my experience, but perhaps I came on a bad day.

My parents and I toured the farm recently, and Dani was gracious in showing us around and answering our many questions. This is a wonderful place to learn about sustainable farming and husbandry practices as well as simple permaculture ideas to implement in any landscape project. As my parents are in their 90's, we had a fun ride around in an electric golf cart to the pigs, cows, and the "edible garden", which can be rented out for special occasions. Tours are $10 ea. with a minimum of three people. ...And the beans we bought at their farm stand were the best!

The produce is delicious. I've had lettuce, garlic and raspberries (it's time for me to try some fall veggies, though)! Definitely ask to check out the edible forest garden - worth it, especially when the garden is in full bloom. It's clear that Dani and David are passionate about creating a sustainable operation that will be around for years to come.

I've spent time volunteering at Cross Island Farms and I look forward to every moment I get to spend on the farm. Dani and Dave are so willing to share their seemingly limitless knowledge of sustainable farming and permaculture, it's pretty wonderful. I highly recommend scheduling a tour, it's very much worth it. So fascinating and educational. The farm is so diverse with the animals, veggie gardens and the food forest. Pasture raised animals, sustainable/regenerative agricultural practices, and certified organic! Good people growing/raising delicious wholesome food while improving the land. It's beautiful. They make me excited about the future of farming....And maybe my future in farming ;)

I like this farm. They are really nice people and service is great. They are always welcoming. They always have fresh, organic vegetables. We buy goats, roosters, eggs, and vegetables from them all the times and we have been their regular customers for long time. Thank you for your hard work to provide outstanding quality products.

I couldn’t ask for better produce, meat or service than what I’ve received from cross island farms. I’d highly recommend anyone in the Thousand islands region to stop by and purchase their reasonably priced, exceptional quality products.
