Coulee Creek Ranch is a local farm that specializes in providing high-quality, grass-fed beef to its customers. They focus on sustainable and humane farming practices, offering various beef cuts and options for purchasing, such as an 1/8th of a cow. The business emphasizes the health benefits and superior taste of their products compared to conventional meat sources.
We've been getting Coulee Creek Ranch's grass-fed beef for a few years now - and are always so pleased! The steaks and ground beef are so flavorful; great on the stove or grill. Heather and Bart are wonderful to work with, and we love knowing their cows are happily eating grass year-around.
I love this beef! The quality is amazing and is an excellent value for local, grass fed meat. The flank steak was really tender and we so appreciate that Coulee Creek Ranch offers an 1/8th of a cow option, which is perfect for our family of four and lasts us a good long while. We especially love CCR's ground beef. It's super flavorful and if cooked with a little olive oil and garlic: perfection! We are so grateful to have had multiple opportunities to see these small producers' operation in person and in action. We know they are not only excellent stewards of the land and their animals but are committed to doing everything right, every step of the way. We are particularly thankful for the peace of mind that comes from knowing we are feeding our family 100% local, grass-fed and finished beef.
A great product and great customer care! We love Coulee Creek Ranch. Why buy overpriced, hormone, chemical meat from a chain supermarket, when you can buy healthy, grass fed, chemical, hormone free beef. We compared our Costco beef to Our Coulee Creek Ranch Beef, and there is a huge difference, even in the raw appearance! I definitely recommend switching to them, for you and your families health, your pocket book, and knowing where your meat actually comes from. Buy local, buy Coulee Creek Ranch. 🙂
We have found their grass-fed beef to be excellent. We've enjoyed every cut we've ever had and look forward to getting their pork & lamb when it becomes available. Heather and Bart are great folks & it's a pleasure to support these hard-working local producers!
We have been buying beef from Coulee Creek Ranch (CCR) for more than 5 years. We normally get an 1/8th of beef box, about 50 pounds, with a good mix of whole muscle and ground beef portions. That works out to about 1/2 pound per week for each of us over the year. CCR has been very responsive to requests for “other” cuts including liver, kidneys, tongue, short ribs, heart and soup bones. The cuts are shrink wrapped in heavy plastic to prevent freezer burn during storage, and each item is clearly labeled with the cut and the weight. The soup bones are BIG shank portions with up to a pound of meat wrapped around a marrow filled bone, one bone makes a huge pot of soup. We put the tongues in the crock pot with onions, garlic and spices for the whole day, then remove the cover, slice into thick slices and quick sear them for tongue tacos. The hearts come trimmed and opened up; after several hours in the slo-cooker it makes a tender dense pot roast sliced thin and served with gravy or in a cold sandwich. The grass finished beef is and lean, so there is little loss from rendered fat. We had fried liver for dinner tonight, floured and gently fried to an internal temperature of 165F, nice and tender. Our kids fixed burgers for Father’s Day lunch served with bleu cheese and caramelized onions, and it was the best burger that I can remember eating. We feel very blessed to have access to local sourced, humanely and sustainably raised beef from CCR. We feel that the cost of the product is entirely in line with quality that we receive. We are looking forward to other products in the future including pasture raised pork, and lamb.
Delicious beef (& pork & lamb!) that our family enjoys even more knowing how well it’s raised! I love the ease of ordering and pick-up and have never been disappointed in the quality.
Great beef , from the banks of the Musselshell River just north of Billings Montana. Heather and Bart use work horses to feed in the winter, a great way to spend the winter producing food for locals. Bob Mackin
