My favorite local Market & Sausage Co. this hidden gem always has friendly staff and great selection of locally sourced food, beverages and desserts. (Santa Cruz Coffee Roasting Company Coffee, Gizdich Ranch Pies, Marianne’s ice cream)including itself own marinated/non marinated chicken, Skirt steak meats. The staff working the butcher area are always helpful. Small store with plenty of food, beverages that you would find in large store markets.
You have not eaten meat until you have tried theirs. I have never been disappointed with the meats I have purchased there. Knowledgeable staff at the meat counter. The staff are warm and inviting. There is a small picnic area with shade where you can enjoy you deli sandwich, cool drink and locally made desserts.
Cold sandwiches are superb. They do cut the cold cuts fresh to your width request. Jalapeño bacon, and all the smoked sausages that I have had are outstanding. Good selection of international food, especially mustards. Staff is professional, so whoever runs this joint is a good leader.
A super delicious sausage sandwich with great toppings! I also loved just chilling in the small park across the street while eating our sausage. I will warn you, the horseradish is REAL and spicy but verrryy good. Lots to explore in this area!
Perfect spot to visit after a mountain bike ride on the Flow Trail in Soquel Demonstration Forest. My wife and I had sausage sandwiches prepared by the staff. The sausages are made of high quality and tasted Great! The most difficult decision is which one to choose. Needless to say, we bought several extras to take home. 🙂 …
Love this little market. I always stop for a sausage sandwich. Today I also purchased a slice of Gizditch Ranch Pie and ham hocks. I’ve never been disappointed! The customer service is awesome.
omg..I've been spoiled all my life with good meat, having my uncle being a butcher for over 40 yrs at Time Market in San Jose! these butchers are Top Notch! an ARE ALWAYS at the counter with a smile an always ready to help u with any questions! True professionalism! love this market!
We tested quite some sausages - Bavarian cheese were our favorite. The selection of sandwiches were great. Lots of European products like Milka Chocolate, Ajvar, Pickles, etc.
Very friendly people! We went for some flank steak and then got sausages and beef jerky. Everything tasted delicious!
This has been a staple for getting our meat for 3 generations of family. This review is being written because we recently came in to buy bacon and the quality of their product has seriously declined. We bought some bacon and got home to realize that the few portions on the top of the package had very little meat to fat ratio, as we opened the package we noticed that every piece in the package was fat, absolutely no meat on any of the pieces. We went back to exchange what we had bought only to be met with a passive aggressive attitude. Unfortunately we will not be returning, there are many other meat markets in the area with much better quality and a better attitude.
