Cook's Bison Ranch is a family-owned business in Indiana that offers an educational and interactive experience with bison, including tours and the opportunity to feed them. They also sell naturally tasty and healthy buffalo meat products, such as bison burgers and jerky, in their gift shop. The ranch serves as both a tourist attraction and a source for bison meat.
Fantastic place! Erika, Peter, Rob are friendly, professional, and amazing people running this family business. Farm is cozy and nice. Bisons are cute giants non aggressive and happy to get a treat. Bison meat burger is… wow! Highly recommend!
We had such a great time visiting Cook’s Bison Ranch in Wolcottville, Indiana. Our guide, Erica, was amazing. She fit us in at the last minute and made the whole experience feel really special. She showed us all the bison and even let us feed them. They were so gentle that our two-year-old was able to feed them too, which made the day unforgettable. The wagons were very nice, fully enclosed, and we felt safe the entire time. After the tour we stopped by the gift shop, which had a lot of cute items, and the bathrooms were spotless and well cared for. Overall, it was a fun and family-friendly outing. Erica’s kindness and attention made the visit stand out even more. We left with smiles and some great memories, and we would definitely recommend Cook’s Bison Ranch to anyone.
I went on a field trip with my daughter and have made two separate stops after to purchase healthy and local bison meat. Very educational and the tour was fun to feed the buffalo!
The bison burgers were GREAT! Didn't go on a tour, I thought the price was a little high. Bison are far from the barn. The staff were very nice.
What a blast! We took our 2 year old grandson and he completely enjoyed feeding the bison, and the wagon ride as well. If you want some good food make sure to let them know when booking your reservation. Food is a separate reservation. The gift shop is full of wonderful reasonably priced mementoes that allow for the memory to last at home. We will go back again!
As they didn't have any tours available, we only visited the gift shop. Their 14 year old chihuahua dog was super sweet. The only thing we bought was some Buffalo BBQ Jerky, which was very tasty.
Girlfriend and I took a trip to Shipshewana and was looking for something to do—-we heard about the bison ranch feeding tour and thought we would try it out! We really enjoyed it. We thought it was a good little experience for the money!! Staff was kind and friendly.
The Cook family hosted a tour for 60 camping rally goers. The family was very welcoming and accommodating. They took us out in nice wagons to meet & feed treats to their Bisen. Afterwards, we were fed a delicious BBQ meal that included Bisen roast- yum 😋. Thank you, Cook family, for an informative, memorable afternoon. …
We were taken by wagon out to the herd by wagon there is feed some come up some don't we were out there for close to an hour .
My husband and I were there almost a year ago. A lady and her son were running the place when we were there. We had an appointment, the place was closed when we got there but to their credit we were early. They did show up very close to our appointment time. We had to wait on another group before starting our ride into the field to view and feed the bison. My husband and I really enjoyed our trip. We are planning another visit this Spring or Summer.
