Cinder Butte Meat Co.

We have used Cinder Butte for the yearly processing of our beef over the last 4 years. We have been happy with Vicki in the office, she is always helpful and friendly. We are located in Christmas Valley and the mobile slaughter truck has been a great option for us, Mack and Brian are great. We have also been happy with their cut and wrap services. The packages are clean, well wrapped and square. Thanks for the excellent service!

The staff at Cinder Butte Meat Co. is absolutely amazing—always friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. I’ve been buying picanha from them, which is hard to find elsewhere, and it’s always top quality. Their meat is truly exquisite. Highly recommend!

Not a fan... burger is way to watery and the cut size is kind of a kick in the pants... I wish I could post pictures of my NY steak... I get better short ribs....

Buy Here! I'm new in town and was looking for a new Butcher Shop/Meat Market...I looked up on line and found a couple, the first one I tried to call, well their loss because their phone went right to their fax machine, TWICE! So I had no choice but to go to my second selected shop, one that also looked good to me on goodle called Cinder Butte Meat Company. I called and talked to Lori who was really helpful over the phone allowing me to feel comfortable trying them out and made first purchase of what I hoped would be quality meat in my new neighborhood...the results were FABULOUS! I had to feed 5 hungry guys who were laying our floor in our new construction build near Lake Billy Chinook. This was Cinder Butte Rib Eye steak from Cedar River Ranch. Honestly, this might have been the best Rib Eye steak I've ever had! I'm a hobby griller and meat smoker so it's not like I'm any type of expert but I'd recommend Cinder Butte/Cedar River Rib Eye to anyone who'd want to know where to get quality meat!

Omgoodness, we LOVE Cinder Butte Meat! I make my husband pull in everytime we go by when they're open. We started going just for meat processing, specifically wild game, then I started trying different things out of the coolers, ie. Pepperoni, steaks, chicken cordon bleu, etc. Everything we've bought has been AMAZING! I have no desire to move, but it would be nice if I lived a little closer. 😁

Came here to drop off some of my spring bear to get processed into their pepperoni. Hillbilly seasoning was recommended but they have several to choose from. Unlike the surrounding game processors, you can bring in wild game without boning out the meat first. The lady at the store where I checked in was super nice and was instantly glad I chose Cinder Butte. After I got all the paperwork filled out, I drove around to the side and a couple guys came out and helped me take the meet to their door that had hooks so that I could weigh it. once they weighed it, I was all set and I was told it will be a few weeks. My cousin has come here twice for his elk and has great experiences each time. Even having Cinder Butte meet him when they were closed just because he had a long drive back to Southern Oregon. So far it has been a wonderful experience!

Hands-down, the best product in Central Oregon let alone the helpful, loving, caring staff. They go the extra mile to make me feel taken care of every stop. Thank you, Cinder Butte. Meat processing & quality experience was great the first time i dropped off an animal. The guys in the butcher shop were wonderful. The customer service by the women in the office was miserable on the drop off & pick up. I thought I would try them one more time. The lady at the front desk was unpleasant enough with attitude when i walked in the door that I turned around and walked out and will go somewhere else from now on.

The staff are super friendly!! What a wonderful first experience!! I purchased their home made dog patties for my pup and he loves em! Next time around I’ll be grabbing a few steaks for myself ;). Definitely can see myself being a long time customer! You guys are awesome, thank you so much!

Used to love this place. The high school girls they got running the store suck. Cold, disinterested, aloof, and acted like my being there ruined their insta-time. Better people at the other meat mart in town. Will be going there from now on.

Love this place! Very knowledgeable staff that love what they do and it shows. High quality meats and excellent service. Just picked up several lbs of specialty bacon, a beautiful smoked prime rib to celebrate the holidays, as well as a sampling of every flavor they offer of their amazing jerky. If you haven't been there before, give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

I called this store with a question and the woman behind the phone (Kathleen) I believe was very rude. Short and snippy and obviously didn’t want to the answer the phone. I wish she would have just let it ring with how her attitude was. I was in bad service and quickly called back on another number and was still greeted with her bad attitude. I will never do any business with them based on the customer service experience over the phone! I hate when you go to a business or call a business in my case and if you don’t know everything exactly how they do they treat you like you are stupid and not worth your time.

Awesome owners, staff and meat! This shop is super clean and cute.We love their jerky, pepper sticks and steaks. I also like how they sell items from other local small businesses. Today I saw some soap in the shop from Penelope Soaps and Such out of Madras.

Called with 2 elk on a Saturday and was initially told they were full but they made accommodations to take them that day. Jim was so friendly and helpful in taking the preparation order and making sure it was exactly what I wanted. They best part of this experience is the final product: the summer sausage, beer sausage and jerky is fantastic and getting rave reviews from friends. I'm being hounded to share more. Great people, great service and a great product. Will go nowhere else!

Butchering process was done well. Good cuts done on our hog. Their problem is at the front desk and at the wrapping stations. Poor ability to take our order, so we would get what we wanted. All the sausage packs were mislabeled, so it's a surprise every time. Half of our hams and some roasts were stolen. Owner did reimburse $200 but still...I wanted our hams. Butchers and owner are good, front desk and wrapping are terrible.

Really disappointed. Received extremely poor and demeaning customer service by the dark haired clerk in the Merchantile. She could not be bothered to answer any of our questions and was verbally and visibly uninviting. Our family have used Cinder Butte Meats for over 10 years but will no longer give them any business.

We’ve used them for processing many times. It has always been a smooth and easy process. Vicki is always helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend their services.
