Great experience with Alex and his team. My cousin takes his beef to chug springs butchery every year and we feel we are getting all our meat back. It's cut to our satisfaction. Great customer service.
Had a whole hog processed at Chugs. I never received a text or call that anything was done and it's a bit far for me to drive to check in (2hrs one way). I only got voicemail when I made it that far on the phone (sometimes hung up during the voicemail message) and it seemed my hog was done for a couple weeks before a friend of mine picked it up (while picking his up). We ended up getting some of someone else's sausage mixed in with our hog (but the sausage weight was what we paid for, 48lbs roughly). The brat's were straight cut and open ended which for an extra $4/lb (on top of the processing and butcher fees) they should be perfect and instead of getting aix of both requests we just got one. That's my gripe (communication and quality control). The meat was vacuum packed/sealed and the pork chops are nice and thick. Overall though I'll be looking for someone else, prices are too high for the quality that I experienced.
Awesome shipped my elk meat to Georgia. Packaged nicely and Alex even called to check in when it arrived.
Very nice family owned and operated butchery with great quality meat processing. Their brauts, bacon, and bologna are delicious. Worth the distance to get them to butcher.
We have had such a pleasant experience with Alex, Danette and their wonderful family! If you are looking for good, quality meat, look no further! They are family run business and they make you feel like family as soon as you walk in the doors! Our favorites are their green chile brats and sweet beef bologna. We've purchased from them several times, and always leave with a little more than we planned for! :) Thank you for all you do for our community!
This is our second time buying meat from Alex and our first time getting a whole cow and we couldn’t be happier. We were able to customize our order and get all the cuts we wanted. Meat is super fresh and tastes SOOO much better than what’s available elsewhere and the pork is just as good. Thank you Alex in assisting us with our order.
Always friendly service. We always get our animal back and always processed how we ask. I also enjoy the syrups and jams that they have in stock.
