Chip-in Farm is an old-fashioned country store that offers fresh, local produce, eggs, and various local products, including seasonal seafood and dairy items. The farm also provides a family-friendly environment with a petting zoo and farm classes, emphasizing a connection to local agriculture and community. Founded in 1944, it aims to bring back the charm of family-run farms.
i love this place so much!! it’s tiny, but full of baby animals you can pet for free, and they’ve got a sweet little market with cookies, honey, and jams. it’s the kind of place where you can just breathe, take a break, and feel happy for an hour or two. i can totally see it being a perfect short day trip with younger kids too!
I took my kids to this farm today and it was a hit. The staff is extremely friendly, and the animals are so much fun to pet and feed. You can buy bags of food inside the store or bring quarters and buy it from the machines. The farm had horses, a bunny, sheep, goats, baby goats and cats walking around the farm. Such a pleasant experience, and can’t wait to go back again.
This place is great fun. If you want to have a farm experience, especially if you are with young children who love animals, then try the Chip-in-Farm. You can hand feed goats, donkeys, and rabbits. Shop are the little store. And even get fresh fish caught by local commercial fisherman #TackletothePeople.
Went there and done in 5 min. Nothing for family with kids. It has a small space for “petting zoo”- consists of one bunny, 4-5 baby goats and two sheeps. The food for animals isnt supposed to be fed to baby goats but everyone is doing it. One transportable potty outside for the whole visitors. I simply do not understand how other family with kids gave such high reviews
The farm was lovely but it was rather restricted, in that most of the farm was only accessible to children who had signed up for farm classes previously. The areas that were open to everyone were the general store, which was pretty sizable and stocked well, the petting zoo, which was really cute, with baby goats and a rabbit (although it was rather difficult for the children to reach the rabbit), and the house and pony round pen. There were a few cats loose on sight, which were cute to pet as well. However, the parking lot is on the farm's play area, which is convenient, but dangerous as the kids couldn't run freely without concerns of a car nearby, and they had about 3 semi trucks coming in and out of the play/public area, bringing in or moving out shipments, so we had to grab our children a few times in hopes of them not getting hit. They didn't let our kids play in the open field next to the barn because "it's for the kids in the class", even though the children of the class were having their lunch. They also mentioned that they would have their pigs and sheep next month (we visited in April). So overall, it was nice to visit, but I probably won't go back again as there was a little too many restrictions on space, and I was worried about letting my kids run around freely.
I had a wonderful birthday party for my daughter (4) at the Chip-in Farm! The outdoor space is welcoming and well equipped with 4 big tables and benches. The kids are free to play around, also in the sand box, and see animals. We surely were very lucky (late October) with the weather but the most important part has been done from Sandy the farmer! She brought some goats for the kids to play with, then have the kids on a wagon ride and pony ride. She was so nice and helpful. The kids and all the parents (all of us were welcome) had a really nice experience. I highly recommend this farm! Thank you!
My grandparents get their eggs here and other things. It is such a cute place! I was in town from Boise Idaho to visit them and they took me here. LOVED the vibe. Grandparents were in a hurry or I would have definitely shopped around.
We had our son’s 3rd birthday party here. We booked the goats play and wagon ride event. Sandy did great job in driving the activities and keeping the kids involved. I definitely recommend for anyone looking to have on farm birthday celebrations.
This is a cute little farm. There were some sheep, goats, horses, and chickens. The little country store had some great products.
Small but super cute farm. We just had our little one’s birthday party here, and it was a blast! Samantha was responsive to scheduling, and Farmer Sandy hosted the best event. We did the petting zoo and wagon ride. All the kids and parents had a great time, and the event was very reasonably priced. High recommend!
