I've used several butchers and this is the best place to go hands down. Very friendly people there for drop off and pickup. Tons of options for processing if that's what your into, I love to cook and just like a combo cut which is a great value here. Everything I got was very nicely vacuum sealed, something I wish my other butchers had done. If you're storing your meat for a long period of time, this is miles ahead of paper and plastic wrap. Not only is their packaging the best, but their prices are an excellent value.

Very impressed. Chester met me after hours so I could drop off my deer. Friendly. My buddy got his deer done and was very happy. I butcher my own and thought I'd give him a try. Excited for venison brats!

Chester’s does a great job processing our deer. Pick up and drop off is smooth and the prices are very fair. It’s a 40 min drive one way but it’s worth it to come here.

We received donated? venison from 12 Baskets food bank and it didn't have a lot of fat, but was really tasty. We would definitely recommend buying from Chester's.

Prompt and friendly service, but the product is worth more than 5 stars. Jerky, Brats, Snack sticks and Sausage! Not only does he post his team working on individual deer to show you get your animal, the taste of the end product is top shelf. The only place I would recommend and use. If you bring a deer to Chester, he will take good care of it! I was fortunate enough to work here when I was in high school. The staff is very friendly and hardworking. The deer are processed extremely quickly, while yielding tasty and high quality meat at the same time. Everything is nicely bagged and vacuum sealed. In addition, he has plenty of options and specialty meats as well! The jerky is fantastic! I often miss this place, but no longer have time to come back due to being in college. This is hands down the best processor in Kalamazoo, and I would not recommend anyone else.

My husband made the trip to Chester's to have his deer processed. It was kind of pricey for the specialty sausages and jerky etc but he said it's the best he has had so worth the money. Wish there was a way to pick up the ground and specialty at the same time as we live over an hour away. Overall good experience.

I’m not one who typically leaves reviews, but these guys were great. I’ve never taken a deer in Michigan before so was a bit unsure what to expect. They were super friendly, fast and efficient. Turned my back straps and loins in under 24 hours and the specialty cuts will be ready in a couple weeks. I’ll definitely be using them again when I’m back next year.

Chester’s does a wonderful job processing and packaging deer. We were super impressed with the quality of packaging and the turn around time to get it. We also worked with them on a cut sheet for beef. The knowledge and suggestions were top notch. Highly recommend for any processing needs.

Had my hogs butchered at Chester’s. Taste is great !! Bacon is so thin it pulls apart into pieces. Some packs of pork were perfect size for my family as i order . About half is packed twice the weight they should be . Ive never seen bacon so thin !

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I took my deer in and it was fully processed within 24 hours. They even stayed late to give me time to get there and drop the deer off. They also support local Veterans, which is a huge bonus. Highly recommend, will use again.
