Cedar Crate Farm

My family has enjoyed a CSA share from Cedar Crate Farm for the last several years. We love the variety and quality of the fresh veggies and are always excited to get to try new things - we also appreciate their recipe suggestions to know how to cook new to us produce. It's super easy to add on extra veggies that they have available as well as other things (we've done a bread share, apples, and a flower share the last few years which have been AMAZING to round out our crate) through the Harvie website. It's always fun to interact with Dan and Lara during market days or pick up - they also host us out at the farm for a tour of what they have going on there. It's a great way for us to learn about where our food is coming from and my family really enjoys it! Being able to support local sustainable food is important to us, and it's fun to do when the food is great and you work with great people!

I love my Cedar Crate Farm CSA! I have been a member of multiple CSA's over the years and Cedar Crate is my favorite. Produce is of the highest quality. Not only is the variety great, but they allow you to choose preferences and make swaps every time. They also have multiple pick up options which you can change of you can't make it for some reason. They are quick to respond if I have questions and I love the email newsletters.

Our family has purchased vegetables and eggs from Dan and Lara for a couple of years at the market and this year we decided to commit to a half share each week in the summer and then went ahead and purchased the Winter share as well. It was so nice to be able to customize our order and then just go and pick up. The variety of vegetables was nice and great quality. We like knowing that our money is going to support good people and good food. We are already signed up for next year and I would highly recommend Cedar Crate Farm to everyone;)

We have done the half-share CSA with Cedar Crate for 3 years. The half-share is ideal for our family of two adults and 1 toddler - though we sometimes find ourselves freezing/preserving some items. We love how easy it is to customize our shares and swap produce based on our needs for the week. The artisan bread add-on is amazing too. We've gotten to try many new and tasty veggies, and we always enjoy chatting with Dan, Lara, their team, and other share-members! It's so rewarding to know our farmers and to know we are reducing our carbon footprint and supporting a young family in the process. Highly recommend!

2022 was my family’s first year trying Cedar Crate Farm’s CSA, and we’ve already renewed our subscription for next year! The freshness and quality of their produce is the best you’ll find anywhere! We loved having the ability to customize our share each week, and the flexibility to reschedule our pick up was convenient during the busy summer months.

I love my CSA from Cedar Crate Farm. There's a wonderful variety of produce and I've tried and enjoyed new vegetables. I enjoy the blog posts about what's going on at the farm and the process that brings great produce to the table every week. Dan and Lara clearly care about how they farm and I taste it in the produce. I cannot recommend Cedar Crate Farm and a CSA share enough!

We love our CSA that we have received for the last few years. The produce is high quality and a wide variety. We love being able to customize our share each week using Harvey to match our families needs. We also love supporting a local business and getting to know our farmers through the events they hold at their farm.

I had a CSA subscription for Cedar Crate Farms' first year and plan to subscribe again this year. I love the variety of fresh food that encourages me to cook creatively and try new things! The quality of the food is exceptional, always delicious and fresh. I've done a half share that is plenty for two people for a week plus some to store for later. Dan is very knowledgeable about the food he grows and is always willing to give advice on cooking and storage for the produce. I highly recommend trying out the CSA or stopping by the Mankato farmers market for Cedar Crate Farm produce throughout the season!

Love Cedar Crate Farm shares. Everything we have received has been fresh and very good quality, owners are amazing - always friendly and helpful, Harvey makes ordering simple and easy and always aware of great add ins! Definitely would recommend joining the farm share family!!!
