Casey's Market

One of the highlights of moving to Western Springs is the availability of the local merchants. Casey's is one great shop/deli. The chicken salad is the best. We used to buy our chicken salad at Treasure Island - they had the best. TI closed and we gave up our chicken salad meals. Nobody else came close. But then we got Casey's and we are back on the chicken salad bandwagon. Also, their homemade soups, the homemade dips and meals and meat and fish.

Stopped in for some sandwiches to carry out. Fantastic little place. They will make all the basic sandwiches, and a few of their own combos. I’ll be back for sure! Including a photo of the menu board as of May, 2025 as I couldn’t find one online

Im very disappointed in the quality of the meat I got here during my last visit. I ordered 3 ribeyes which were $115. When it was being packaged I was unable to see the steaks. Which I think can be a learning lesson for the market itself. When I arrived home I opened the packaging to see 2 steaks that had to of been sitting for some time and 1 steak that was actually red unlike the other two. But the steak that was red had a cooking twine around it so when I cut it the steak itself fell apart.

Such a great butcher. So much care and attention every time. The meat is a little more expensive- but always totally worth it. They carry lots of cuts of meat that sometimes are harder to find in the chain grocery stores. They will order what you need if they don’t have it too (eg I needed a raw ham to smoke and couldn’t find it anywhere and they ordered it from one of their farms/suppliers). Great advice on how to cook stuff too if you ask. All round just a wonderful local spot. A proper butchers. Premade/frozen stuff is good too.

I saw the sign for the market and thought let me see what it is all about. I love small local stores. The store is a lot bigger inside then I thought it would be. The store offers a deli, butcher/meat counter, and the general store items. The line was very long at the time I went in so I didn't buy anything but I did note that the prices are somewhat higher than I expected. I think as far a small local market it is nice as an option especially for deli and meats. Overall, I will definitely go back when I have more time to wait in line or at a time it isn't so busy. I think I would like to try the meat and deli items for my next BBQ.

Incredibly clean and organized boutique market that carries premium deli meats, cheeses, baked goods, and ready-to-eat items. Just feet away from the Metra Train Station platform in Western Springs, IL. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Casey's is where I go when we decide to have a special meal. "So much better than a restaurant" is what my wife always says when we have our first bite.

This is a quality butcher shop with high quality (prime) meats and does cost more than the lower quality products of chain super markets. Personally, I prefer 8 ounces of a good stake over fighting through the waste of a 12 ounce choice cut. Deli and seafood also great. It can be busy, particularly around holidays. Best to pre-order. We have been shopping there for decades.

I have been buying meat and deli items from Casey's for about 30 years. The meat is high quality and nicely trimmed. I won't buy chicken or pork tenderloin anywhere else. They make the deli salads themselves. I recommend the chicken salad! Their sub sandwiches can't be beat. They also have quality, homemade prepared meals, refrigerated and frozen, at a fair price. Perfect for busy people or those who can no longer cook for themselves. I also love the stuffed chicken breasts. They have several versions stuffed with asparagus, red pepper and cheese, or broccoli, and other varieties. Just pop them in the oven. They are healthy and homemade. Their sausage is tasty and not greasy. Try the bratwurst, especially the apple brats! I love the French steaks. Some meats are pricey but there are many that are priced similar to a grocery store but you are getting much higher quality. I hope this shop is here forever!
