A great way to spend time off the grid and unwind. Nancy has home made goat milk lotion, soap as well as snacks, soda and water.
I had a great weekend at the Candy Mountain Goat Farm! Scott and his wife are incredible hosts and we really enjoyed the farm a lot! The goats are fun to interact with as our favorite was Cupcake! We made lots of great memories here and we definitely will come back in the future! I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a great place to camp or rent out a small cabin!
Visited this charming getaway over the holidays. Found the tiny home to be neat, clean, and welcoming as soon as we arrived. You can tell Scott and Nancy really have a heart for what they do here as well as for their animals. We got to go on the goat tour Scott offers at 1:00 pm every day where he tells all about the goats and their habits while hiking around the campground where the goats can roam along side of us. One evening I asked if we could have a fire in the fire pit, and when we arrived back in the evening, Scott already had gotten wood gathered and the fire lit so all we had to do was the enjoying. The property is located just far enough away to have that peaceful seclusion, but still close enough to places like Blueridge, Mercier Orchards, and Turtletown Falls. We definitely enjoyed our time there and will be coming back.
This place is WONDERFUL! Scott and Nancy are so kind and welcoming. I brought my niece with Down syndrome for a goat walk, and they let her cuddle a baby goat for the longest time. They made a very special memory for her. She still talks about it.
Had sooo much fun meeting all the goats and learning about them. Nancy was truly amazing!!! Fulfilled all my goat loving dreams 💕 …
Me and my wife had a wonderful time at Candy Mountain Goat Farm! Nancy and Scott were great hosts. The goats were the stars of course. My wife loved the baby, Rocky. Oreo was really cute too. We got there in time for their feeding and then we went with the them on their walk. We learned a lot of interesting facts like the term matriarch, the leader of the goats. It was a really fun hour and we highly recommend it if you're in the area.
We took a drive to Candy Mountain while staying in Blue Ridge. Although no appointment scheduled, Scott took the time to show the family his beloved goats that you can tell, he truly cherishes. They were incredibly friendly and well mannered, and definitely child friendly. He didn’t have to take the time, but went above and beyond to accommodate us. I would *highly* recommend taking the time out to book a tour with them and see these amazing animals if you’re in the area!
I adore these goats. It was so lovely to jump on a trampoline and spend quality time with multiple goats. The goat walk was very informative and splendid. Goats eat out of your hand and truly make your day great. In the gift shop, we got lotion with goat milk that is so great! WOULD SEE GOATS AGAIN!! (Pictured below is the trampoline and a lovely goat named Delilah)
Wonderful experience with the goats and getting to know the owner!!! I loved the gift shop! I had to get all of the sugar scented home made soaps, lotions and candles she made!!!
AMAZING!!! The goats are sweet and adorable and the farm owner is wonderful. Try camping or a tiny house!
This beautiful patch is far more than a goat farm. It is mostly wooded with skyhigh tulip poplars, which provide welcome shade in the summer. It's also an air B&B with very reasonable little cabins with every amenity. Plus, if camping or …
This farm is a great little spot! Our RV is too large to stay here, but the owners were gracious enough to let us come during the day to meet their goats and chickens anyway! The goats, almost all named after candy, are so personable and …
Nancy and Scott were very accommodating as we got lost due to poor GPS but well worth our extra miles. Goats were awesome and gave lots of snuggles. Learned a lot and bought really good smelling soap.
Thank you Scott and Nancy for hosting us! We had a wonderful time learning and playing with the goats! What a fun and unique experience. Scott is very knowledgeable and friendly! You will have a great time!
You be lucky if you find this place located off the beaten path in the middle of nowhere...yet in the middle of everything. 15 minutes to Murphy NC. 15 minutes to Blue Ridge. Lake Hiawasee and boat ramp 5 minutes up Candy Mountain Road. …
Amazing time! Passed through on the way to other activities, well worth the $10 tour. Holding the baby goats alone was worth it! The campgrounds were also beautiful.
I absolutely loved this place. I came here with 6 of my friends and we had a great time. We were able to hold the goats and walk with them. Would definitely come here again🐐 …
Scott and Nancy are wonderful campground hosts and definitely love what they do! Their farm is such a fun, safe space!
Sweet and friendly owners! Goats are adorable. The owners dog is also incredibly adorable
Nice, quiet campground with grass tent spots, pull-through Class B & C Rv sites, zip line, fun with goats, weekend movies, and its close to so much!
