This is just a mom and pop little butcher market. I stopped in for some ribeyes and was pleasantly surprised that they hand cut them to order, even trimming them up like all good butchers do. The man behind the counter comes off a bit abrasive but warms up quickly and is very friendly. We struck up a conversation about cattle ranching and talked for several minutes. Places like these are hard to come by nowadays and I was happy to give them my business. I will return as I saw some good looking roasts in the meat case I want to buy! I have been coming here ever since I was a small child, well over 30 years now. Ralph has a fantastic deli that has high quality meats and cheeses like you would find in a bigger city. He cares very much about quality and is very knowledgeable. If you haven't, you should absolutely call ahead (he is old school, so you do have to call and during business hours) and order one of his roasts. It's the best pot roast I've ever had anywhere. This place is a true gem of Southern WV.

My family and I love this local butcher. We get the best cuts of filet and prime rib. We also get burger, chicken breasts, and baking potatoes from here. They have a small grocery section and sell their homemade salads.

Best place around to get steaks. Cut the way you ask. The experience here is much like shoping at the local grocery store ( in my case the A&P ) of the early 1960's. A little bit of everything you need, but necessarily everything you want. A hold over of the neighborhood grocery store. Ask them about the cooked meals/dinners they make for holidays and special occasions. Very plentiful and tasty. Talk to them before hand to find out how much time they need and prices.
