Do yourself a favor and stop at Burls Smokehouse! This place is fantastic. First off, their beef jerky? Unbelievably good – rich, smoky, and addictive. And their cinnamon rolls are beyond enormous; we're talking colossal and divinely delicious! But here's the kicker: while you're there, you get to explore a super cool collection of old antiques! It's like a mini-museum mixed with a top-notch smokehouse. Browse all the unique old items while enjoying the best jerky and a massive cinnamon roll makes for an unforgettable stop. Definitely put Burls Smokehouse on your list!

Great stop. We used the restroom (only one small stall fyi) and grabbed some AWESOME smoked jerky. So good! Friendly staff. The cinnamon rolls look fantastic and are HUGE!

Amazing "Back to the Past" establishment/museum/general store/restaurant.....we were mesmerized by ALL memorabilia and down home products. There is homemade "canned" jelly, eggs, honey....etc. Smoked hams, beef, and pork jerky and homemade breads and rolls. We could have stayed there all day if we hadn't been pressed for time. Go see this place....you'll LOVE it!!!

Stopped in for lunch while taking a mid day break from fishing. Not far from Mountain Harbor Resort, it is full of interesting artifacts and fresh breads, honey, spices, sauce for sale. We were anxious to try the bbq but it sadly disappointed. We tried ribs and brisket lunch plates, both were slathered in sauce. Should have asked for dry meat with sauce on the side. Didn’t care for their baked beans or mac n cheese either. Might opt for a dry brisket sandwich next time. The fresh banana and apple breads looked tasty, as did the brown bread.

This is a hidden gem for anyone who knows gems in hot springs. It’s not the best bbq, but it is the best smoked lunch meats and cheeses from the deli. Have them make you a sandwich where you can pick three meats. I like the smoked ham, pastrami and corned beef combo- it’s phenomenal and smoky and flavorful, with all the veggies and horseradish and mustard- PERFECT and thick. The shop is a lot of fun and so much to look at, inside and out. Great for fun unique photos and a favorite stop for locals for expensive delicious smoked beef jerky. I like to stop here to get sandwiches for hiking and swimming close by, it’s a perfect pit stop and may as well get some goodies like the homemade cinnamon rolls that are as big as a plate or some homemade sourdough bread, even Amish goods and everything pickled your heart could desire. Fun stop no matter what your craving, they even have nachos and bbq plates.

Solid little sandwich place that also has lots of pickles and preserved items for purchase in the store. Best known for smoked meats served as cold cuts. Tried a pastrami sandwich on wheat with smoked cheddar, lettuce, onion, and horseradish mustard. Great combo. Pastrami is thin sliced. Also tried one of the giant cinnamon rolls. Bread part of the roll has a nice consistency. Not too soft and not too bready in my opinion. There isn’t an overload of frosting like some rolls. I felt like it was just the right amount given the presentation.

Fun little stop and dine. Had a well stocked pantry type store. Loads of little knick knacks, snacks and one very cool antique collection to view as you eat. The food was good, very flavorful. They also have a deli where you can get things by the lb. Fresh meats and sausages and jerky. It's a must stop.

Absolutely delicious!!! Try the turkey sandwich, the smoked Mac n cheese, the hot links, the jalapeno cheddar beef sticks, the apple bread, the banana bread, the seasoning on the beef sticks.... Like, seriously... You CANNOT go wrong here! I promise! And those sweet girls working at that counter are even more reason to stop in and try their delicacies!

This place makes a great sandwich 🥪.. oh on Homemade bread. I got to visit with the owner and he really loves what he does. They smoke meat, cheeses, make jerky and meat sticks. We placed an order to go. We had 2 brisket plates. It has about 4 pieces of brisket and 2 sides. The brisket was smoked but a little dry and was barely warm. Our sides were mac and cheese and potato salad. The Mac and cheese was cold and didn't taste good, it's not a common mac and cheese. Someone tried getting fancy with it and the potato salad was made with vinegar and the vinegar taste was too much. We expected a lot more for the $44 charged. (no drinks)

Absolutely the best pork ribs I've had in my life. Make your way to Burl's and step back into a slower paced time. The slow rolling smoke coming from the small stack is a siren song to your nose. We also had the brisket, but as a fan of …

A treasure place in the middle of nowhere. This place has some history and food mixed in. The homemade sandwiches are fabulous. They definitely pile on the meats and cheese. I got the smoked brisket and smoked cheddar cheese 🥪 sandwich …

Burl’s is an Arkansas staple for a reason…high quality food, southern hospitality, and a historic location full of local goodies (jams, ciders, butter, etc). I highly recommend if you’re looking to support local with a quality lunch at very reasonable prices.

We had brisket sandwiches with potato salad, baked beans, and coleslaw. They gave us jerky samples, which were okay. The sauce was really, really salty. And I like salt! I cannot say whether or not the brisket was cold then microwaved, …

A little slow but very good food. Lots of historical Native American and Hillbilly memorabilia, a private museum of sorts.

Cute little BBQ place. The brisket was thin sliced and good. The store had tons of fruit preserves and canned goods for sale.

Cute place, great staff, and amazing food. Smoked turkey sandwich, beans, smoked Mac n cheese, and pumpkin bread were all scrumptious. Huge portions - enough for 2 meals. This is my go-to spot when I camp at Hot Springs Gulpha Gorge - it’s worth the drive!

Has the Hole In the Wall vibe but a bit disappointed in the quality. I got the smoked bbq brisket sandwich and cinnamon roll, which I was told was made that morning. The brisket was underwhelming as I didn’t taste any smoky flavor. The cinnamon roll was already stale. The yard decor was cool though!

Hidden treasure in rural Arkansas. We had the smoked pastrami with cheddar. Very delicious! Also purchased some beef jerky. It is VERY rustic but worth the stop. Be prepared to pay a little extra.

Stopped in for lunch, the person behind the meat case was friendly and helpful. We chose the smoked turkey sandwich because it has been voted best sandwich in Arkansas (i think that's correct). we also had the cornedbeef both made on …
