Our family has been committed to supporting sustainable products for several years. Broken Bones is our go to source for high quality chicken, eggs and pork. The meat costs more than the mass produced products available at your average grocery store certainly. Is it worth it? Yes! We have never been disappointed with the quality of any of the cuts of chicken or pork. The chicken thighs are divine, tender, flavorful and so versatile for everyday meals. We also enjoy the splatchcocked chicken. All the skin gets crispy and meat cooks evenly. The ground pork makes awesome Larb and the pork chops are amazingly tender. We like knowing that we are supporting something bigger than ourselves, farming that is low impact on the environment and practices profoundly humane animal care. If you eat meat and don’t wish to raise it yourself Broken Bones Farm is the way to go. I highly recommend this farm. Farmers Lilly and Jenny are friendly, informative and genuinely interested and responsive to your feedback. Almost forgot to mention, Broken Bones will deliver weekly right to your door! Sweeeet!

Broken Bones Farm is an absolute lifesaver for our household. The (local) delivery option is so wonderful and knowing that every Wednesday we’ll have fresh eggs and chicken waiting for us in a cooler when we get home takes a major step out of meal planning and prep. All of their animals are raised humanely with the land and their collaborations with other local farms and artisans like Ritual Breads are indicative of the type of community minded business I want to support. Not to mention everything is of phenomenal quality. I highly recommend the Ground Chorizo as well as their maple breakfast links!

You'd be hard pressed to find kinder, more knowledgable, small local farmers. Jenny and Lilly not only talk the talk--they have some of the tastiest, ethically produced food to back it up. The website is incredibly intuitive to use and the deliveries are always prompt and personalized (hello, contactless quiet drop off so as not to freak dogs out!) Buy anything from them...but especially the jowl bacon when they have it because WOW I didn't know bacon could taste that good.
