Awesome product. I’ve gotten 2 different 1/4 beef so far and both have been terrific. You definitely get what you pay for. The hamburger and steaks are perfect. My guess the burger is 90/10. The steaks and roast are great. I have gotten 1/4 beef at other places and the do not compare to BP farms.
100% professional, Loved this company's stand against government over reach and it's dedication to being a resource to true organic products. Thankfully no MRNA. The Meat we received was very well packaged. It's flavor was impeccable. We used the ground beef to make some taco meat, Normally while frying ground beef we'd have to drain the meat before adding the taco seasoning, but with this company's ground beef surprisingly there was no need for draining, the meat fried up clean. And produced some of the tastiest tacos to date. The steaks we received are also worthy of praise! The t-bone steaks were especially surprising. The bacon we learned was also cured totally with organic ingredients and then smoked with real hickory, when baked the bacon was truly an experience every organic loving meat eater should enjoy! We were also impressed with the options and different cuts available here. Bill Pickens made the experience easy and worthy of our continued patronage.
I just picked up a half pig from BP Farms. I cooked the first pork chops tonight and they were honestly the BEST meat I've ever tasted in my life! I was most interested in eating healthy meat (organic, pastured), but didn't realize how much tastier it could be. I have a half cow coming next week and I'm super excited! The ordering process was easy for this newbie, lots of options in cuts, and Bill was great at helping me along the way. I hope to be a long time customer.
Purchased a 1/4 of Organic / Grass fed beef from BP Farms. I have been purchasing Organic beef from a source a few hours up north from us and was looking for something a bit closer. I have not previously had grass fed beef, all I can say is WOW. Organic is something I prefer so that was a must but the grass fed was new to me. My husband and I have very much enjoyed everything we have had thus far. Roast was amazing, burger is fantastic. The process was very smooth and efficient, and Bill was always quick to respond. I would highly recommend BP farms if you are looking for high quality beef. Check out their website for the details.
Just bought another 1/2 cow from BP last month. We split it with a friend and both of our families have been very pleased with the meat we’ve cooked - as in past years. Organic and grass fed is the draw, the great flavor is an added benefit. We feel the price is very reasonable for organic meat. We also appreciate the fact that the butcher guarantees that the beef that is delivered to the slaughterhouse is the beef that comes back for the customer.
I have been getting beef from small Michigan Area farms for over 35 years and I have to say this is some of the best beef I have ever had. My brother got half a beef a few months ago and we had some of the Ribeye steaks. I think it was the best Ribeye steak I've ever had! Flavor was amazing, cooked up perfectly and was very tender. But a thing a lot of people might not pay attention to is the butchering, this beef was perfectly butchered and packaged. Also had some of the ground, roasts, jerky and stew meat, all were perfect. I was a chef when I was younger at a 5 star restaurant and this beef is better that what we had there! Bill does an amazing job.
Went 2 years ago and loved the packaging, labels and how everything had the weight on each item. It was all in nice boxes with carrying handles. Reordered this year and wasn't impressed with the packaging. No carrying handles on the boxes. The boxs are long awkward and with meat very heavy they tend to crumple in the middle making it difficult to get, if your freezers not right near your entrance. I should have checked to make sure it was done the same way, sadly its not. We went with BP Farms bc in our mind you pay for better quality meat and packaging. Hopefully the meat is the same quality but the packing is subpar in comparison. Pictures are from todays pick up, one picture shows the difference in the old packing and labels vs new labels 🏷. 2 yrs ago I got a whole cow the hanging weight was 589, it filled the entire deep freezer. Today we got a whole cow hanging weight was 608lbs it did not fill the entire freezer. The meat was divided btwn 7trays which would make each tray weigh just over 82lbs. I moved each tray and dont believe they weighed that much. It feels like the butcher didnt returned our whole order.
We just purchased our first 1/4 cow. The process was easy and Bill was very responsive to my questions. I have to say, I feel the beef quality is better than Kroger where I previously purchased meat! BONUS, the cost savings is anywhere from $2lb-$18lb depending on cut/type! I was also able to get roast which were difficult to find organic. It's worth the drive for the pickup!
The quality of the meat is mouth watering. The steaks are tender fresh from the freezer. The ground beef smells like meat. If your used to the store bought ground beef it might seem weird but it just goes to show that this meat is more pure than the stores can offer. Well worth the price.
Absolutely premium quality! The beef and pork shares are delicious- We especially appreciate the quality seasoning in the pork products- sausage- ZERO nitrite ALLERGENS - This farm is a hidden gem of Michigan- Trustworthy farmer who walks the talk when it comes to regenerative farming. Hard to come by these days-
