Ainsworth Meats

Amazing selection the biggest that I’ve ever seen anywhere at any meat shop. The staff was friendly and really nice and knowledgeable. Was such a wide variety of sausage and smoked meat. I was blown away that they do not make any jerky which I consider the measuring stick of the quality of a smokehouse’s products. When I first walked in, there was a horrible smell, which I couldn’t place maybe rotting meat or something. It was quite nasty. I looked around at everything and found it to be fairly overpriced and decided to try the bison sausage. When I got home, it was a familiar thing, that there was no expiry or best before day on sausage package which immediately raised concern. I sliced three pieces of thin bison, sausage, and taste carefully and on the third slice I encounter large piece of bone in the sausage that would break a tooth. This sausage is going in the trash and I’ll never go back. I’ll have to take a half hour run back to Smitty’s in Tomball where the prices are better and expiry dates on the packaging and it smells amazing when you walk in there and their products are awesome. The horrible smell when I walked into Ainsworth meat market definitely turned my stomach. I really wanted to like it, but I’m never going back to Ainsworth

Wow what an amazing local butcher shop! The whole team who works here is super friendly too! Quality meats at a fantastic price, everything from lamb to elk and all traditional cuts of course! They know where the animals come from and you are getting better protein at a better price than your supermarket!

It’s is amazing fresh meat!! Be warned once you go you will not want to cook with any grocery store meat EVER again including whole food. Price is competitive and even better compared to some places. Just wish there was delivery lol.

I took my father in law to kill his first Axis this summer. It was an awesome trip, and we thought the mission to fill his freezer was a success. He took the deer to have Ainsworth make some sausage and the rest ground meat. The sausage is not even eatable and the ground meat is not much better…. It made me feel like we wasted a trip. My father in law is on a fixed income, and he wasted +/- $300. Very upset with this place, and I will tell anyone I know to use Smittys over this place. SO UPSET!!!!

The place is awesome, great selection and very good prices .... I drive past it every day, never knowing what I was missing ..... definitely my new go-to for all my meat supplies

Absolutely fantastic. I was looking for venison and they were the only place I could find. Walked in and looked through their butcher case. Everything was top of the line, custom cuts. Ended up with backstrap, elf sausage, deer slim jims, and hot peaches. Wow. Everything was fantastic. Quality, fresh and super service.

Very nice and helpful staff. I called about rabbit and they had a rabbit with my name on it when I got there. Will definitely be back . Good looking steaks.

I tried calling to set up a weekly order of meats... I got put on hold abruptly and waited around 40 minutes. I eat a carnivore diet so was interested in seeing you weekly. Now when I call my number is blocked. Why?
