Acadia Provisions

We just happened upon this place while driving to Acadia, and I have to say it surpassed any expectations I had for "butcher shop that has sandwiches". Seriously had one of the best Reuben paninis ever. And as far as the butcher shop, the quality and selection is impressive. Same for the rest of the general store. And yes, there are tables you can sit at to enjoy the awesome sandwiches. Beer (bottles and draft) and soda available, too. Highly recommended!

This a great shop for local foods! I went to get my fix of Fiore’s vinegars and oils. I didn’t expect that they would have the option to taste, which made my experience even better! Above all, the staff are fantastic, customer-centered, knowledgeable and kind! Shout out to Matt and Jordon who took great care of me!

Sandwiches were insanely good and super high quality—made with real love fr. We ate one on the spot and packed another for our hike… best decision ever.

The meats look great and probably will be delicious, but the service in the meat section was pretty poor. I was also hoping for some local produce, but they only carry shelf stable items.

Amazing quality food, and very interesting selection not found at typical stores!!! Well worth the trip if your into fresh, high end food ideas!!! Probably the best fresh steaks in the area that I know of!!!

Love this place! Everyone is super friendly and very helpful. Lots of variety and great meats.

Great selection of steaks and essential groceries. The quality of meat is the reason why I went there. If you need quality steaks including wagyu steaks this place is the one to visit.

I had a fantastic lunch and was truly impressed by the delicious fish tacos! I can't wait to return for more of those delightful flavors.

Excellent meats and seafood. Not your typical grocer. They have a lot of gourmet and specialty foods.

Best butcher shop around. Anytime I'm in town I must stop in and get the marinated steak tips. They tend to switch up the marinades too. I don't think they sell a bad item in the entire store. Plus I love the huge selection of dry rubs spices and hot sauce. The staff are all great too very helpful with any questions. Highly recommend!!!

This little store packs so much into it. Great local provisions from local proprietors. Friendly as heck and super helpful. Ask for Jordan behind the meat counter if you have any questions. Super knowledgeable guy!

We drove a long day on vacation and I wanted to stop here to get a couple steaks for dinner. We arrived 15 minutes prior to closing time, and they were just loading the steaks up to put in the cooler. Thankfully the guy wrapped up a couple steaks for me, and they were fantastic! Great flavor. This is a neat little shop with lots of items to choose from.

We went here looking for a cut of meat we couldn’t find at a couple of other grocery stores. They had what we were looking for and the quality of the meat seemed great, but even still the prices were extremely high and most importantly the service we received at the meat counter was abysmal. We asked the butcher if he could prepare the cut of meat for the type of cooking method we were planning and he flatly told us he wouldn’t cut the meat for us in any way and that we could figure out how to do it ourselves. We are not butchers or chefs ourselves and do not have the equipment or knowledge that we expected a butcher to have. We thought that our request was reasonable and part of the butcher service but apparently that isn’t the case.

Came specifically for crabmeat..which can be a little difficult to find this time of year. Saw some frozen crabmeat..went to check out counter..Wonderful man at register..offered that they had fresh crabmeat which was exactly what I wanted. Frozen is better than none but fresh is always better! He went and got me the fresh..and I've been back twice since. I noticed they carry Boar's Head meats, lobster and alot of Maine made products. Definitely worth a visit! See you again soon

This store is awsome. I loved the meat counter and the cheese counter. All the meats were fresh and had beautiful color. A staff member was courteous enough to call around and find a certain cheese I was looking for that they didn't carry. The selection of sauces, spice mixes, and meat rubs was much more than adequate and the prices were reasonable. 10 out of 10 will be going back.

Great products. They have lots of local options. The meat counter is the best around in the Ellsworth area (other than going straight to a farm and butcher.) Clean store and friendly service. I've deducted one star for some of the egregious price gouging.

I got a sandwich from the cafe today that was so good I felt the need to call the store and tell them how much I liked it. Delicious, filling, and reasonably priced
